Install Yaplet on a Shoprenter shop

Shoprenter lets you add outside scripts to your shop in the theme settings, and that is all the Yaplet widget needs. You copy one block of code from Yaplet, paste it into Shoprenter, and the chat button appears on every page of your shop. You don't need a Shoprenter app or a developer.

The Shoprenter admin is in Hungarian, so the menu names below are written exactly as Shoprenter shows them, with an English translation in brackets. In a 14-day trial shop, Shoprenter locks some custom-code features until you subscribe.

1. Copy your Yaplet code

In the Yaplet dashboard's left menu, go to Brand → (your brand) → Chat widget → Install. If the tab asks where your website runs, choose Shoprenter. Copy the code with the copy button on the code block.

Shoprenter needs the code inside <script> tags, so the code you paste in step 3 must have them.

2. Open the custom scripts tab

Log in to your Shoprenter admin and go to Megjelenés → Téma testreszabás (Appearance → Theme customization). Open the Egyedi scriptek (Custom scripts) tab.

3. Paste the code and save

1. Find the box Body részbe illeszthető scriptek (scripts for the page body).
2. Click into the box on an empty line (after any scripts already there) and paste the Yaplet code. The code you paste must start with a <script> line and end with a </script> line; if what you copied starts with !function (Yaplet instead, type <script> on a new line before it and </script> on a new line after it.
3. Click Mentés (Save).

4. Check your shop

Open your shop in a new browser tab and reload the page. The Yaplet chat button appears in the bottom-right corner. Click it to check that the chat opens.

Switch off your old chat

If your shop runs another chat, remove it so customers don't see two chat buttons. A chat installed as a Shoprenter app is managed under Alkalmazások (Apps); a chat added as code sits in the same Egyedi scriptek tab, where you can delete its code.

If the chat doesn't appear

• The code shows up as text on your pages. The <script> and </script> lines are missing. Add them around the code and save again.
• You changed your shop's theme. The custom scripts tab is part of the theme customization. Check Megjelenés → Téma testreszabás → Egyedi scriptek on the new theme, and paste the code again if it isn't there.
• The tab is locked in a trial shop. Shoprenter unlocks custom-code features once the shop has a paid plan.
• You'd rather use Google Tag Manager. Shoprenter has a field for your Tag Manager container at Beállítások → SEO és Analitika beállítások → SEO beállítások, on the Google Tag Manager tab. Then add Yaplet in Tag Manager: Install Yaplet with Google Tag Manager.
