Yaplet gives you two ways to handle email communication, each suited for different needs. You can start with a simple yaplet.io address in seconds, or set up your own domain for full branding and newsletter access.

Newsletter campaigns require a verified custom domain. You cannot send newsletters from a
@yaplet.io address. If you plan to use the Newsletter feature, set up a custom domain first.How Email Works in Yaplet
Regardless of which email type you use, email in Yaplet works the same way:
- Incoming emails sent to any of your Yaplet email addresses automatically create a new chat in the inbox (or route to an existing conversation if it's a reply). The sender becomes a visitor in your system.
- Email threading is automatic. Every outgoing email includes a unique Reply-To address that ties replies back to the correct conversation. Customers can reply naturally from their email client and the response appears in the same chat thread.
- Email-source chats (conversations that started from an incoming email) are marked with an "Email" badge. When you send a message in these chats, it's automatically delivered as an email — no need to use the "Send Email" button manually.
