Board Settings

Configure individual board properties and manage widget associations for your ticket management system.

Overview

The board settings page allows you to modify the core configuration of a specific board, including its name, type, and widget connections for public roadmaps.

Board settings determine how tickets are categorized and whether the board can be shared publicly through widgets.

Configuration Options

Basic Settings

Board Name

  • Descriptive title for the board
  • Used throughout the interface for identification

Board Type

  • Bug: For technical issue tracking
  • Feature Request: Enables public roadmap sharing through widgets
  • Custom: Flexible board for any purpose

Widget Integration

When a board is set to Feature Request type, you can associate it with specific widgets to display the public roadmap:

Each connected widget gets its own unique shareboard link with customized color schemes, allowing different public roadmaps for different websites or sections.
  • View Connected Widgets: See all widgets currently using this board's roadmap
  • Access Widget Settings: Direct links to configure individual widgets
  • Public Sharing: Generate shareable roadmap links for customer feedback

Usage

  1. Navigate to a board from the Boards settings
  2. Click the Settings action button
  3. Modify board name and type as needed
  4. For Feature Request boards, review connected widgets
  5. Save changes to apply the new configuration
Changing board type may affect how tickets are processed and whether the board can be made public.
