Chat Actions

The chat actions dropdown provides quick access to common chat management operations. Actions are organized into categories based on their scope and availability.

Leave + Leave All

These actions allow you to remove yourself from chat assignments, making the chats available for other agents to pick up.

Leave Chat

Removes your assignment from the currently selected chat and closes it from your view. The chat becomes unassigned and returns to the unassigned queue.

Leave Selected Chats

Opens a selection modal where you can choose specific chats to leave from your assigned conversations. This gives you granular control over which chats to unassign yourself from.

Leave All Chats

Removes your assignment from all chats you're currently handling. This affects all chats where you're the assigned agent and moves them back to the unassigned queue.

These actions are only available when you have assigned chats. Leaving chats removes them from your "My Inbox" view but keeps them active for other agents.

Transfer + Transfer All

Transfer actions allow you to reassign chats to other online agents in your organization.

Transfer Chat

Opens a modal to select an online agent to take over the current chat. The selected agent will receive the chat in their "My Inbox" and you'll be removed from the assignment.

Transfer Selected Chats

Opens a selection modal where you can choose specific chats to transfer to another agent. This allows you to hand off multiple specific conversations to a single agent at once.

Transfer All Chats

Opens a modal to transfer all your assigned chats to a single selected agent. This is useful when you need to hand off your entire workload at once.

Transfer actions require at least one online agent to be available in your organization. The chat will be immediately reassigned and removed from your active chats.

Close + Close All

Close actions remove chats from your current view without affecting their assignment status.

Close Chat

Closes the currently selected chat tab and removes it from your active chat interface. The chat remains assigned to you and can be reopened from the chat list.

Close Selected Chats

Opens a selection modal where you can choose specific chat tabs to close from your active view. This allows you to clean up your workspace by closing multiple specific conversations at once.

Close All Chats

Closes all open chat tabs at once, returning you to the chat list view. All chats remain assigned to you and can be reopened individually.

Use close actions when you want to temporarily step away from chats without unassigning them. Closed chats can be easily reopened from the list.

Mark as Read

Marks the current chat as read and closes it. This changes the chat's status to "SEEN" and removes it from your active view.

Mark as read is useful for chats you've reviewed but don't need to actively respond to. The chat remains assigned to you but won't appear as unread.

Search in Chat

Toggles the search functionality within the current chat, allowing you to search through message history for specific content.

Chat search helps you quickly find previous messages, links, or information shared during the conversation. Use this when you need to reference past discussion points.
