@yaplet.io address. If you plan to use the Newsletter feature, set up a custom domain first. How Email Works in Yaplet
Regardless of which email type you use, email in Yaplet works the same way:
- Incoming emails sent to any of your Yaplet email addresses automatically create a new chat in the inbox (or route to an existing conversation if it's a reply). The sender becomes a visitor in your system.
- Email threading is automatic. Every outgoing email includes a unique Reply-To address that ties replies back to the correct conversation. Customers can reply naturally from their email client and the response appears in the same chat thread.
- Email-source chats (conversations that started from an incoming email) are marked with an "Email" badge. When you send a message in these chats, it's automatically delivered as an email — no need to use the "Send Email" button manually.
Sending Limits
Emails your team sends from the inbox — replies in email conversations and messages sent with the "Send Email" button — have two limits:
- Per organization per day: 20 emails for organizations without a subscription and for every organization in its first 30 days; 200 emails for all others. A day here means the last 24 hours, not the calendar day.
- Per agent per hour: 30 emails.
A reply in an email conversation that goes over a limit is still saved in the conversation, but it is not emailed, and the agent sees a warning saying so. A message sent with "Send Email" over the limit is not sent at all, and the error says why. Newsletters and transcripts have limits of their own and don't count here.
