Board Settings
Rename a board, change its type, see which widgets publish it as a roadmap, and delete boards you no longer need.
Overview
Every board is one place with three tabs: the ticket board itself, Forms, and Settings. The Settings tab holds the board's core configuration — its name, its type and the widget connections for public roadmaps — plus the danger zone where the board can be deleted. New boards are created with + New board at the bottom of the Tickets section in the sidebar.
The Settings tab requires the Board management right (Tickets.Boards, renamed from Settings.Boards in this release). A colleague with only the Tickets right sees the board and its kanban, but no Settings tab at all.
Configuration Options
Basic Settings
Board Name
- Descriptive title for the board
- Used throughout the interface for identification — the page title and the sidebar's board list update as soon as you save
Board Type
Bug: For technical issue trackingFeature Request: Enables public roadmap sharing through widgetsCustom: Flexible board for any purpose
Widget Integration
When a board is set to Feature Request type, this section lists the widgets that currently publish it as a public roadmap:
- View Connected Widgets: See all widgets currently using this board's roadmap
- Access Widget Settings: Each widget in the list is a direct link to that widget's designer
The connection itself is not made here — it is made on the widget, at Brand → (your brand) → Chat widget → Features → Roadmap, where you pick which board that widget shows. This page only reports which widgets are pointing at it. Because a brand has at most one chat widget, one brand contributes one shareboard link. The public links themselves are handed out by the Share Board button in the board toolbar on the Tickets tab, which appears on Feature Request boards.
Usage
- Open the board from the Tickets section of the sidebar — every board you can see is listed there
- Switch to the Settings tab at the top of the board
- Modify board name and type as needed
- For Feature Request boards, review connected widgets
- Save changes to apply the new configuration
Deleting a Board
The Settings tab ends with a danger zone. Deleting a board permanently deletes every ticket on it and the intake forms that feed it — the confirmation shows the exact counts and asks you to type the board's name before it goes through. Anyone using one of those forms in a widget stops being able to submit. The boards your account was created with are marked as defaults and cannot be deleted.
The deletion runs on the server, so anyone with the board open — including the mobile app — sees its tickets disappear immediately, and the deletion is recorded in your audit log. The board's own row stays in a colleague's sidebar until they reload the page.
Duplicating a board needs the same Board management right; see Boards.
