Get started with affiliates

Updated May 22, 2026

Yaplet's affiliate program lets you run a partner marketing operation directly from your dashboard. You add partners with unique coupon codes, your store sends each sale through the tracking API, and Yaplet records the commissions. Payouts happen externally on your end — Yaplet just keeps the ledger.

What the affiliate program does

  • Unlimited partners — each with their own unique coupon code
  • Per-partner commission rates — percentage of order total or fixed amount per order
  • Product-level overrides — pass a custom commission amount through the tracking API for specific products or SKUs
  • Password-protected partner dashboards — each partner gets their own URL to see their earnings, conversions, and payouts
  • External payouts, internal ledger — you pay partners through PayPal, bank transfer, or Stripe; Yaplet records that the payout happened

Before you start

You'll need the Affiliates permission to see the section. If it's missing, ask your workspace admin to grant it. In the dashboard sidebar, the section is labelled Affiliate Management.

How the pieces fit together

  1. Add a partner — fill in their details, set a commission rate, and tick Approved so the tracking API counts their orders.
  2. Integrate the tracking API — your store calls the tracking endpoint server-side whenever a customer checks out with a partner's coupon code. Yaplet calculates the commission and stores it.
  3. Watch commissions roll in — every successful API call creates a commission record attributed to the partner.
  4. Reconcile payouts — when you've paid a partner externally, open their profile and confirm the payout. Yaplet marks the matching commissions as processed.
