Profile & Settings

The Profile tab — set yourself Online or Offline, choose Light or Dark, switch organization, and sign out.

Your profile

Your picture, name and email sit at the top of the Profile tab, pulled straight from your Yaplet account. There's nothing to edit here — change your name, picture, email address or password from User Settings on the dashboard.

Availability

The Online / Offline switch controls one thing: whether new conversations are routed to you. Online shows "Receiving new conversations"; Offline shows "Not receiving new conversations".

This is also what decides whether your phone gets push notifications at all. An Offline agent gets none — not even for a conversation already assigned to them.

Set yourself Offline when you finish for the day, or the phone keeps alerting you for conversations you're not going to answer.

Appearance

Choose Light, Dark, or System. System follows whatever your phone is set to, including an automatic switch at sunset if your phone does that.

The choice is remembered on this phone. It has no effect on how the dashboard looks in a browser, and it doesn't carry over if you sign in on a different phone.

Switching organization

If your account belongs to more than one organization, the Organisation row opens a list of them. Tap the one you want.

Switching does three things, in order:

  1. Checks that you actually still belong to that organization.
  2. Refreshes your session so it carries the new organization.
  3. Reloads the inbox with that organization's conversations.

You see one organization at a time. Which brands you can see inside it is a separate setting, managed on the Organizations page of the dashboard.

Signing out

Sign out asks for confirmation first, and the warning it shows is literal: this device will stop receiving push notifications for your conversations. Signing out removes this phone's push token from your profile, so there's nothing left to notify.

Signing back in registers the device again. Signing out on your phone doesn't sign you out of the dashboard — they're separate sessions.

App version

The installed app version is printed at the bottom of the Profile tab. Two reasons to check it:

  • Reporting a problem — quote it so whoever's helping knows exactly what you're running.
  • After an update prompt — if you dismissed one, check the version here to see whether you're actually behind. See Getting Started for how updates work.
