My Shifts

Your own shifts — start and end them, correct the times, add notes, and see your hours and pay for any period.

Where to find it

Team → Shifts → My Shifts in the left menu. Every member with the Time Management permission has this page, and it only ever shows your own shifts. It is where you clock in and out, fix a time you got wrong, and check what you have earned.

The three summary cards

At the top of the page, three cards total up whatever period the date picker is showing. Each one splits its total into Finalized (locked for payroll) and Pending (still editable).

Total shifts

How many shifts you worked in the period.

Total hours

How many hours those shifts add up to, calculated from each shift's start and end time.

Total salary

What those hours are worth: hours × the shift type's rate multiplier × the hourly rate recorded on the shift.

Managing your shifts

Starting a shift

Click "Start shift"

The button sits at the top of the table and opens a small dialog.

Pick a shift type

The dropdown on this page lists every shift type in the organization, not only the ones you were granted. Each type carries its own rate multiplier, so the choice affects your pay.

Add a comment (optional)

Anything worth recording about this shift.

Start working

The shift appears in the table straight away with a live timer running.

If starting a shift is refused. You may only start the types an administrator granted you, and this page's dropdown is not filtered to them — so a type you are not allowed to use can be picked here, and the refusal comes when the shift is created: "You are not allowed to use this shift type". If you see that, ask an administrator to grant you the type. The Start shift shortcut in the user menu at the bottom of the sidebar works the other way round — it only ever lists the types you were granted.

Ending a running shift

  • Click the red End shift button in the End Time column
  • The shift ends at the current moment
  • Duration and pay are worked out immediately

Correcting a shift

Times

  • Click a start or end time to change it with the date and time picker
  • Every change is written to the shift's log

Comments

  • Add or edit the note in the Comments field
  • Comments stay editable for as long as the shift is not finalized
Finalized shifts are locked. Once a shift is marked Finalized you cannot change its times or its comment. Ask an administrator — they can unlock it, correct it, and lock it again.

Deleting shifts

One shift

  • Click the trash icon in the Actions column
  • Confirm when asked

Several at once

  • Tick the checkboxes of the shifts you want gone
  • Choose Delete from the bulk actions
  • Confirm the whole selection

Filtering and sorting

Date range

The date picker decides which shifts appear and what the three summary cards add up. It opens on the last 7 days.

Filters

  • Shift Type — show one kind of shift only
  • Finalized — show only Finalized shifts or only Pending ones; All Finalized puts both back

Sorting

Click a column header to sort by it — start time, shift type and the other sortable columns.

While a shift is running

  • The Duration column counts up live
  • The running shift sits at the top of the list
  • Its row is marked so you can see at a glance that you are still clocked in
Do it by asking: the same actions work through Copilot or an MCP client — "clock me in for chat duty", "end my shift", "I forgot to clock out yesterday, set the end to 6 PM". See Time Management Tools.
