Home Screen

The home screen is your widget's front door — the first impression visitors get when they click the chat icon. It combines a greeting area, a visual background, and a set of configurable cards to guide visitors toward the right action.

What Makes Up the Home Screen

The home screen has three layers that work together:

Greeting, Welcome & Team

Customize the greeting text, welcome message and team avatars, and see where the online/offline status dot appears.

Home Screen Background

Four layers you can mix freely — a color behind the greeting, a photo of your own, soft glow shapes and thin lines — and how far down the screen they reach.

Home Screen Cards

Configure the home screen's content cards — the fixed AI ask bar and active conversation shortcut, plus help articles, documentation, news, messages, links and forms.

How It All Fits Together

When a visitor opens your widget, they see:

  1. Your logo at the top-left, once you have chosen one, with the language button and the close button on the right
  2. Team avatars (up to 3 people) overlapping in a row, with a "Typically replies in …" line under them — shown when Show Team is on
  3. Greeting + welcome message — a short hello and a bold headline, both left-aligned
  4. The background — everything painted behind all of the above: a color, your own photo, soft glow shapes and thin lines. It either fades into the page below the greeting (Top only) or covers the whole screen (Whole screen)
  5. Cards — elevated blocks stacked vertically, each serving a different purpose
  6. The floating dock — the navigation pill above the bottom edge; content dissolves as it scrolls under it

The whole screen scrolls as one block — the logo row moves away with the content, and there is no fixed header.

The AI Assistant and the Active Conversation always come first, in that order, and cannot be moved or removed. The six other card types you add, remove and reorder from Brand → Chat widget → Home; the order you set is the exact order visitors see below the two fixed ones.

Branding

Your widget logo appears at the top-left of the home screen. You pick it on the Design tab of the same screen, in the Logo row of the Widget section — the picker opens Your images, the shared library of everything your organization has uploaded, so you can reuse a picture or add a new one.

The thin "Powered by Yaplet" line at the end of the home screen's content is switched off with Hide Branding, which sits on the Home tab. That switch only appears if your plan includes the Remove branding permission.
