Home Screen

The home screen is your widget's front door — the first impression visitors get when they click the chat icon. It combines a greeting area, a visual background, and a set of configurable cards to guide visitors toward the right action.

What Makes Up the Home Screen

The home screen has three layers that work together:

Greeting, Welcome & Team

Customize the greeting text, welcome message, animated placeholder, team avatars, and online/offline status indicator.

Background Styles

Choose from decoration patterns (blobs, grid, ripple, gradient, spotlight), background images, or a clean solid look.

Home Screen Cards

Configure interactive content cards — AI ask bar, active chat shortcut, help articles, documentation, news, messages, links, and forms.

How It All Fits Together

When a visitor opens your widget, they see:

  1. Your logo in the top-left corner with a close button on the right
  2. Team avatars (up to 3 agents) overlapping in a row
  3. Greeting + welcome message — a short hello and a bold headline
  4. Background decoration — a visual pattern or image behind the content
  5. Cards — interactive blocks stacked vertically, each serving a different purpose

The header (logo and close button) gently fades out as visitors scroll down through the cards.

You can reorder, add, and remove cards from Brand → Chat widget → Home. The order you set is the exact order visitors see.

Branding

Your widget logo appears in the top-left corner of the home screen. You pick it on the Appearance tab of the same screen, in the Default Logo field — the picker opens Your images, the shared library of everything your organisation has uploaded, so you can reuse a picture or add a new one.

The "Powered by Yaplet" badge at the bottom of the home screen is switched off with Hide Branding, which sits on the Home tab. That switch only appears if your plan includes the Remove branding permission.
