Someone new is joining and needs to answer conversations, edit settings or read reports. You invite them by email: they get a link, choose a password, and land in the dashboard with exactly the access you gave them.
1. Open the team page
There is no Organization entry in the left menu — it is easy to hunt for one and not find it. Click your avatar at the bottom-left of the dashboard and choose Manage team. That page lists everyone in your organisation and every invitation that has not been accepted yet.
2. Send the invitation
- Click Add member. If every seat is taken, the button reads Upgrade to add members instead and leads to Billing — a page only the organisation owner can open, so an administrator has to ask the owner to add seats.
- Type the person's email address.
- Under Access & permissions, set what they will be able to do. Yaplet starts you off with the access a chat agent typically needs, and every brand switched on; untick anything they should not have.
- Check the one-line summary next to the heading — it reads something like 8 permissions · 2 brands, so you can see at a glance how much you just handed out.
- Click Invite.
Yaplet emails them a sign-up link, and the invitation appears in the Invitations list until they accept. The link stops working after seven days; after that you have to invite them again.
3. What happens when they accept
They open the link, set a password, and join your organisation. The permissions and brands you chose are applied at that moment — but only the ones your organisation still holds. If you granted something and then the organisation lost it in the meantime, that part is quietly skipped rather than granted.
You can change anything afterwards on the same team page. See Set roles and permissions.
Change or cancel a pending invitation
Open the invitation in the Invitations list. Its own summary of permissions and brands is shown there, with two buttons:
- Edit access — change what the invitation will grant, before it is accepted.
- Delete invitation — cancel it, so the link no longer works.
There is no resend button. If the email went astray, delete the invitation and send a fresh one.
Seats
Every member uses one seat, including you, and a pending invitation reserves one too — so you cannot stockpile more invitations than you have seats for. The free plan includes 1 seat. When they run out, the invite button turns into the upgrade button until you buy more seats or free one up. See Manage seat counts.
Already have a Yaplet account?
They can still accept — the invitation adds their existing account to your organisation without touching their password. Afterwards they switch between organisations from the same account menu at the bottom-left.
