Edit your shifts before they're finalized

Updated May 22, 2026

Shifts stay editable until an admin finalizes them as part of a pay period close. If you clocked in at the wrong time, forgot to clock out, or need to add a comment, you can make corrections yourself β€” no need to ask an admin, as long as the shift is still pending.

Edit a shift

  1. Go to Time management β†’ My shifts.
  2. Find the shift you want to correct. Pending shifts show no lock icon.
  3. Click the start time or end time cell directly to open a date/time picker and change the value.
  4. Click the comments cell to add or update a note.

Changes are saved immediately. Every edit is recorded in the shift's change history β€” see Audit shift edits.

What you can edit

Field Editable while pending? Editable after finalized?
Start time Yes No
End time Yes No
Pay rate override Yes (admins only) No
Comments Yes No

Delete a shift

If a shift was logged by mistake, you can delete it while it's still pending. Click the trash icon in the Actions column and confirm. Finalized shifts cannot be deleted.

What happens after finalization

Once an admin finalizes the pay period that includes your shift, all fields are locked. The edit and delete buttons are disabled. If a change is needed on a finalized shift, an admin must contact support or manually create a correction shift.

Finalized shifts are intentionally locked to protect payroll integrity. The shift audit log gives you a full record of every change made before finalization.
