Start a 14-day trial of a paid plan

Updated May 22, 2026

Every paid plan on Yaplet comes with a 14-day free trial. You do have to put a card on file before it starts — the button says so in as many words — but nothing is charged on day one, and you can cancel any time in those 14 days without paying anything.

What the trial includes

  • 500 Yaplet credits — for AI answers and voice call minutes
  • 1,000 newsletter emails
  • Full access to every feature in the plan you configured

Stay inside those two usage limits and nothing is charged until the trial ends on day 15. Go over either one before day 14 and the trial ends there and then: paid billing starts immediately, and the usage you have already run up is billed with it.

How to start a trial

  1. Go to Settings → Organization settings → Billing.
  2. Build the plan you want in the configurator — pick a base, switch on the modules you need, set your volumes.
  3. Click the subscribe button. With no card on file it reads Add card & start free trial, and it collects your card before anything else happens.
  4. Check the review screen. It shows exactly what will be charged after the trial and confirms that nothing is charged today. Confirm to start.

Two things worth knowing about that card. It is stored by Stripe, not by Yaplet — we never see the number. And saving it does not subscribe you on its own: the confirmation step is a separate, deliberate click. Note also that the Billing page is only visible to the organisation owner, so if you cannot find it, you are not the owner of this account.

What happens at the end of the trial

On day 15 the trial turns into a paid subscription on the plan you configured, and your card is charged for the first billing period. An invoice appears in your billing history straight away.

  • If the charge succeeds — nothing visibly changes. You carry on with the same setup, now paying for it.
  • If the charge fails — the subscription moves to Past due and the payment is retried. See Manage your payment method for what happens next and how to fix it.

Cancelling during a trial

Go to Settings → Organization settings → Billing and click Cancel subscription. The trial runs out its remaining days, and on the day it would have converted your account returns to the Basic (free) plan instead. No charge is ever made.

See Cancel your subscription for the full cancellation flow, including what happens to phone numbers and credits.
